Hey guys. I’m running an Asus P5N-SLI mobo, and changing things in Speedfan doesn’t seem to do anything for me.. All my fans are plugged into my mobo 3-pin thingy’s but changing the values in Speedfan has no effect on the fan speeds. (Using a AC Freezer 7 Pro HSF and 3 generic case fans, i’ve had enough of the noise!)

Q-Fan controller is set to OFF in the BIOS, and i’m stuck for ideas.

Any ideas?

You need to find a solution fast, because above 83°C you are irreversibly damaging your CPU! Did you try disabling all that “smartfan” shit in your BIOS?

And getting the P5W recognized in Speedfan is … euhm … renaming the “temp3″ value :)

I think my prob is way too complicated
i m running my pc at 50C idle and 79C at 99% CPU usage and its damn hot
I bought a new thermal grease and nothing i was wondering how can make my intel fan spin more then 2500RPM is there an answer out there ? thanks everyone!

I think it does, but some connectors are controlled by the same controller … uhm … I mean: when you change the speed of fanA it’ll change the speed of fanB too, I think CHA_FAN1 and CHA_FAN2 use the same controller …

Seriously – thats nice!! Thanks for the details!! I’m a big fan of speedfan myself and have only been buying motherboards that I can use speedfan with. Though my Asus p5wd2 will not let me control my cpu_fan, only cha_fan1.
But my question is; can speedfan control ALL the fan connectors at the p5w dh deluxe??
