Custom resolution in Remote Desktop Connection Client

Since a while I have a dualscreen setup on my portable at work, 1440×900 and an extra 1280×1024 TFT monitor, and I like to run all the RDP connections on my second monitor…

In Remote Desktop Connection Client I didn’t have a choice for a 1280×1024 resolution, the list went from 1024×768 to 1440×900. As a result I couldn’t run the Remote Desktop fullscreen on my second screen. Mmm … maybe all this isn’t very interessting, but what follows should be :p

If you want your MSTSC client to run a resolution of your choice, go to start > run and type in the following command:

mstsc /w:1280 /h:1024

Where 1280 and 1024 are numbers of your choice. Alternatively you could make a second shortcut to mstsc.exe and add that to the target field.
