Mstsc /console on Vista SP1 or Windows Server 2008?

Why can’t I connect to the console of my brand spanking new Vista SP1 or Server 2008 rig?

Because you are probably using the most recent version of the Remote Desktop Connection Client, version 6.1 to date. In this version the /console switch is ignored, in other words: that switch doesn’t work anymore :)

You will have to use the new /admin switch to connect to the console.

I don’t exactly know who is to blame for this, is it the new RDP client? Is it Vista’s SP1? Is it Windows Server 2008? Will it be XP’s SP3? Here’s a sh*tload of information, if you can find who MS says is to blame, let me know in the comments…
