Mobistar carrier logo

Recently I switched providers for my iPhone, from Scarlet to Mobistar.

Here’s how to set a fancy coloured Mobistar carrier logo instead of the boring “Mobitar” text. You’ll need to have a Jailbroken iPhone (with Spirit doing a great job that won’t be any problem).

Since Mobistar is an official Apple/iPhone partner, all the settings for the mobile internet APN and mms APN should already be configured upon inserting your SIM. Creating and isntalling a complete IPCC won’t override these “default” settings, so we’ll have to manually change the carrier logos.

Use whatever SCP or SSH client that schlongs your doodle, and head over to:

/System/Library/Carrier Bundles/20610

Just because 206 10 is MNC the for Mobistar Belgium.

Rename the Default_CARRIER_Mobistar.png and FSO_CARRIER_Mobistar.png files to something else, and replace them with these:

Reboot your iPhone et voila!
