I wanted to disable the menu buttons on a Samsung TV, so it could only be controlled through the remote control.

With your TV off, press “info”, then “menu”, then “mute” and then turn on your TV again. Welcome to the service menu of your Samsung TV :)

Play around in the “hotel mode” menu. If you choose a setting, it will be saved and used automagically – there is no “save” or “apply” button. When you’re finished, power down and then up your TV again.
